Philosophy of Learning
Prior to earning my Master's in Learning Design and Technology from the University Of Maryland Global Campus, I knew deep down that my passion was to serve others. As I ventured into the professional world of work— the educational industry specifically, I noted that humans had many instructional problems that required careful analysis to derive efficient and effective solutions.
I implement the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to design instruction. With each step being equally important, evaluation and analysis stand out the most. Analysis directs me to the reason I’m creating the module and with prudent evaluation of each step, I can successfully accomplish instructional goals. I think carefully about the details of each step along the way, beginning with the learners and their needs. As I continue with design and development, learner needs remain at the forefront of my mind and drive the design process.
Personal learning
One fundamental element of refining my design skills is to stay up-to-date and challenge myself to keep learning about this evolving fraternity. My success is influenced by my aptitude to welcome advances in education, value new technologies, and continue to develop and evaluate my practice. Personal growth is instrumental in serving my clients more effectively.
